This is totally my world in this season, Molly! Wrestling with the whole "momming is the highest calling so don't worry about writing" spoken/unspoken pressure. Oh yeah, and the "you can just write your book during naps!" comment (never mind that I actually want a nap when the kids are napping!). But thank you for putting those expectations into words... And also writing so beautifully about your persistent love of words. I totally get it ♥️

I’m so glad you can relate! 💛 The pressure on moms is wild. (Women in general, really.) I totally feel the nap time struggle too. It’s the first time in the day where I get to care for only my needs and that sometimes means rest or something else that day takes precedent. It’s nice to find other women who get it! ☺️

Molly, you’re giving words to a story so many of us have lived. I resonate so deeply with the lifelong grip of words — how they capture you before you realize what is happening and simply don’t let go, even if you do. I love the idea of writing about why you write — you’ve given me a journal prompt for the week, and an encouragement as a first-time mom. Thank you 🤍
