Loved this heartfelt post! It brought to mind a few people I'd like to check in on. And as for your son's first birthday, whatever you decide to do (go all out of stay low-key or land somewhere in the middle) it will be special simply he's yours!!
Thank you Sarah! 🫶🏼 I’m so thankful for the people who have continued to sit with me in this season of life—I hope to return the favor again and again.
So well said and beautifully written! 💗 The first year of a child’s life is also a year of postpartum healing and transition. I wish more people understood that!
You’re doing an amazing job Liv. 🫶🏼 God will supply every need for each season of motherhood as it comes. When/if you need the strength for another baby you will have it. Praying for you to have the strength you need for today as I write this comment. 🙏🏼
Someone really wise once told me “not to should on myself.” And if you forgot that, that’s ok. Sometimes I believe we were never meant to take our own advice, or else we’d never lean on others.
Still, may your past words—and those of today—continue to soothe the aching parts of us all.
Christina! This made me tear up. Thank you for this sweet reminder. I remember that conversation we had. It's so much easier to give others the compassion we often need to give to ourselves.
this is so beautiful!! makes me so thankful for the people I have that hold space and is a reminder to be the same for those close friends who need the same.
Yes! Having people to sit with me in this season has made me want to be that friend to others so much more. It's such a blessing to experience and I've found God has continued to increase my capacity to be this for others too.
Love you Molly! This is so good, it’s true that we need support and people telling us these things so we can believe them for ourselves it’s so easy to feel guilt or shame around any negative feeling towards motherhood but it’s normal and we can all work thru it together with support and love from others! 🙏🏽❤️
It's so true. The dichotomy is hard to reconcile in our own minds but that is motherhood. We can love our babies with our whole hearts AND still wrestle with the role we have in the world as moms. It can be both and having people create space for both makes me weepy in the best way hehe.

A mom is also born 🫶🏼🫶🏼
I feel this deeply, especially as I’ve struggled to wrap my mind around the fact that my husband still wants more children. Thank you for your words.
