This is so beautifully written and something very close to my heart that I've also been working on! Thank you for sharing!

I had a really hard postpartum and I think, unfortunately still, only a few people know how truly bad it was. As I've begun to process and work through it, I'm reminded of something my mentor in grad school said; "God permits what He hates to be more open with the people in my life because if something I have experienced can help or encourage them, that's what it's all about.

This is really good awareness. Help from others can seem not so helpful at times. Not because they mean to hurt. They haven’t learned to just say the simplest of words “I’m sorry”. Nothing more…. ❤️

Keep teaching others this one simple phrase. ❤️

It is so tempting to jump into problem solving & fixing mode!

It is, we only learn from helping others see that we don’t need to say anything but support. It’s not talked about enough. ❤️❤️❤️

Making these decisions, learning to discern all of this - who to tell, how much to tell, when to tell, what to say, etc. - is itself a heavy burden! I think everyone wants to do what they can (if they know) to help. You're so brave voicing all of this and letting us in. Thank you. Love you, friend.
